Wolfram P. Kastner was born in Munich in 1947. From 1966 to 1972 he studied German language and literature, psychology, education, art history, political science, and sociology at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and at the University of Munich. Kastner was a consultant for political education, higher education, culture, foreigners, and vocational training at the German Trade Union Confederation from 1973 to 1979. Since 1979 he has been active as a freelance artist. His activities include: painting, drawing, photography, interdisciplinary projects, exhibitions in Germany and abroad (e.g. in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Mannheim, Munich, Rotterdam, Salzburg, Vienna). His performance art has received widespread attention, including "Brandfleck", "SehStörung", "Papst und Hitler" and "Staatswagnerei".
