Isabell M. Welpe holds the chair of strategy and organization at the Munich Technical University. She studied management at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston. She was visiting professor at the Keck Graduate Institute in Claremont, USA, and postdoctoral fellow at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

Franz Josef Wetz was born in 1958. After studying philosophy, German studies, and theology in Mainz, Frankfurt/M., and Giessen, he received his PhD in 1989 on "Das nackte Daß - Zur Frage der Faktizität" (On the Question of Facticity). He received the dissertation prize of the Justus Liebig University Giessen for this work. His habilitation in philosophy followed in 1992. From 1981 to 1993 he was employed as a research assistant at the Center for Philosophy and Foundations of Science at the University of Giessen.

Wimberger, Gerhard [5]

Gerhard Wimberger was born on August 30, 1923, in Vienna. At the Mozarteum in Salzburg he studied composition with Cesar Bresgen and Johann Nepomuk David, as well as conducting with Clemens Krauss and Bernhard Paumgartner. In 1947/48 he was répétiteur at the Vienna Volksoper and from 1948 to 1951 Kapellmeister at the Salzburg Landestheater. From 1953 to 1981 he was head of the conducting class, and from 1969 to 1991 he was a professor at the Mozarteum.

Wuketits, Franz M. [6]

Prof. Dr. Franz Wuketits, evolution theorist/zoologist, deceased 2018

Franz Wuketits was born in 1955. He studied zoology, palaeontology, philosophy, and philosophy of science, received his PhD in 1978 and did his habilitation at the University of Vienna in 1980. From 1979 he was also active in teaching (philosophy of science with a focus on biosciences), as well as lecturing at the University of Graz and at the Vienna University of Technology.
