Enlightenment in the 21st century
Since 2004 the Giordano Bruno Stiftung has been giving its voice to humanism and the Enlightenment. The gbs criticized church representatives when they overstepped their mark, and politicians when they ignored the constitutional separation of church and state. In addition, the foundation promoted a scientific world view and more rational, contemporary ethics. Here you can read the press releases of recent years...

The Giordano Bruno Foundation (gbs) does not rely solely on the "written word". From the very beginning, the gbs also seeks to use "moving images" to promote humanism and enlightenment. In the video archive you will find some of our films, including the video "Children of Evolution", in which the gbs band "Darwin & The Naked Apes" promoted the campaign "Evolution Day instead of Ascension Day".

The Giordano Bruno Foundation (gbs) publishes its own series of publications at Alibri Verlag, and the gbs also supports the publication of humanistic books critical of religion (such as the "Manifesto of Evolutionary Humanism" or the fiercely debated children's book "Wo bitte geht's zu Gott? fragte das kleine Ferkel").
