Lorenz, Fiona

Dr. Fiona Lorenz, social scientist, deceased 2014

Fiona Lorenz was born in the year 1962 in Berlin. After completing her English/American and Japanese Studies in Marburg she trained as a foreign language secretary. From 1988 to 1994 she studied education in Trier. After a series of scientific activities she received her PhD in education from the University of Trier in 2003. From 2002-2005 she worked independently in her own practice as a coach and therapist. From 2007 Lorenz worked as editor of the Humanistischer Pressedienst (hpd - Humanistic Press Service), from 2009 as vice editor-in-chief. She was a gbs advisory board member from 2009. For many years, she battled cancer. On her death in 2014, Michael Schmidt-Salomon published a eulogy titled "Life is Unfair, but Beautiful".
