Those who didn't dare to gift the "little piglet" now have an alternative: the "Geschichte vom frechen Hund" ("Story of the Cheeky Dog"), a funny picture book that is great fun for small children and explains why it is wise to be friendly.

After the "piglet book" had been controversially discussed in the media for weeks, team Schmidt-Salomon/Nyncke published another children's book. It is called "Die Geschichte vom frechen Hund" ("The Story of the Cheeky Dog") and is aimed at our youngest readers. In contrast to "Wo bitte geht's zu Gott? fragte das kleine Ferkel" ("Which is the way to God, please?, asked the little piglet"), the authors this time refrained from religion-critical attacks. Instead, they present a loving introduction to evolutionary ethics for three- to five-year-olds with the "Story of the Cheeky Dog". The Humanistic Press Service (hpd) spoke with gbs spokesman Michael Schmidt-Salomon about value mediation, provocation, and the joy of disappointing expectations.
