Sprekels, Nicolai

Nicolai Sprekels was born in Augsburg in 1984 and graduated from high school in Berlin. He worked as a project assistant in the events department of the Representation of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate to the Federal Government and the European Union and was an employee in the office of the German parliament member Dr. Matthias Miersch. He has been active in the secular scene for several years and is a board member of the Evolutionäre Humanisten Berlin-Brandenburg (EHBB - Evolutionary Humanists Berlin-Brandenburg).

In addition, he is co-founder and board spokesman of the NGO "SARAM - Stiftung für Menschenrechte in Nordkorea" (Foundation for Human Rights in North Korea), which works internationally to improve human rights in North Korea. Since 2016 he has been an expert adviser to ISFiNK (International Solidarity for Freedom of Information in North Korea), a think tank in South Korea. He has been responsible for public relations and project management in the gbs since 2012.
