Pollmer, Udo

Udo Pollmer, food chemist, science journalist

Udo Pollmer was born in Himmelpforten in 1954. In 1981 he passed his State examination for food chemists at the University of Munich. From 1991 to 1999 he was an assistant lecturer at the Fulda University of Applied Sciences​ at the department of home economics and nutrition sciences, from 1994 to 1996 he was an assistant lecturer at the University of Oldenburg, also at the department of home economics and nutrition sciences. Udo Pollmer has been scientific director of the European Institute of Food and Nutrition Sciences (EU.L.E.) since 1995. Pollmer has published numerous books and is a regular guest on radio and TV.
