Florian Chefai was born in Neunkirchen/Saar in 1991. After graduating from high school he completed his compulsory civilian service in a municipal clinic, and is currently studying philosophy and sociology at the University of Trier. His main interests include questions of ethics, the philosophy of mind, and criticism of religion and ideology.
Florian Chefai is one of the youngest activists in the Giordano Bruno Stiftung. He is co-founder of the gbs university group "Evolutionäre Humanisten Trier" ("Evolutionary Humanists Trier") and has been responsible for the coordination of the gbs university groups since 2012. After working as a correspondent for Humanistischer Pressedienst (hpd - Humanistic Press Service) he became vice editor-in-chief of hpd in 2014.
