Michael Schmidt-Salomon wrote the music and lyrics, and the actor Walter Gonterman stars as rocking Darwin. The Giordano Bruno Foundation used the video to promote its campaign "Evolution Day rather than Ascension Day" – with success: The clip was among the most viewed and most highly rated educational videos on YouTube in February 2009.
