Mahner, Martin

Dr. Martin Mahner, biologist/philosopher of science

Martin Mahner was born in 1958. He studied biology and geography at the Freie Universität Berlin and received his PhD in zoology (with a minor degree in philosophy of science) in 1992. From 1993 to 1996 he was a postdoctoral fellow under Mario Bunge at the department of philosophy at McGill University, Montreal, Canada, and from 1996 to 1998 lectured at three Berlin universities. Since May 1999 Martin Mahner has been head of the Center for Science and Critical Thinking of the Gesellschaft zur wissenschaftlichen Untersuchung von Parawissenschaften (GWUP - Society for the Scientific Investigation of Parasciences).
